Preparing for Your Procedure

This procedure typically takes between 1.5 to 2 hours.
After the procedure, patients may experience discomfort and swelling around the area but will be given pain medication to manage any discomfort. Soft foods are recommended in the days following surgery, as swallowing might be uncomfortable at first. Most of the time, the recovery process will take a few days and patients will feel relief within a month.
