About 

Dr. Jeff Chain is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology who serves as a surgeon at Smith Medical Direct Specialty Care. In 2003, he graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio with a Bachelor of Science in Arts and from the Medical College of Ohio.

He completed his internship in surgery and residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 2003. A resident role model, he received the Arnold P. Gold Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award.

Dr. Chain is active in community health both locally and around the globe. He has taken two trips to Phnom Penh, Cambodia as part of Jeremiah’s Hope, a Christian Medical Mission to Cambodia. He has also served as medical director of the 9 Health Fair for several years at Montview Presbyterian Church in Park Hill.

His philosophy on medicine starts with being a good listener. He enjoys sitting with patients and getting to know them during the time they have together at an office visit. Despite the strains modern medical practice places on healthcare professionals, he works hard to establish the core of what makes good medical care, great. By connecting with patients through Smith Medical, he can reach more patients more effectively.

Dr. Chain can blend that authentic relationship with the patient with the delivery of specialized technological procedures to enhance a person’s wellness. Ears, noses, and throats are integral to who we are.

Dr. Chain has lived in Colorado since 2003 after he married his wife. He also enjoys skiing, playing tennis, smoking brisket, and coaching his kids’ youth sports teams.
