What To Expect

Patients will meet with their surgeon before the procedure to determine their goals with surgery. On the day of, patients will be under general anesthesia to ensure their comfort throughout the procedure. During a traditional facelift, the surgeon will make an incision at the hairline, from the temples to around the ears. The surgeon will then resculpt any fat to help “lift” the appearance of the face. When the goals of the procedure have been achieved, the surgeon will close the incision and the patient will be monitored as they are removed from the anesthesia.

A bandage will be placed around the face to minimize swelling and bruising. The surgeon will prescribe anti-inflammatory pain medications and antibiotics to ensure the patient has a successful recovery. Patients will schedule a follow-up appointment with their surgeon to ensure everything is healing properly.
